OC BikeFest is again proud to announce its association with The Hogs and Heroes Foundation. Hogs and Heroes is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization that supports Public Safety, the United States Military and raises money for the children of Police Officers and Firefighters killed in the line of duty.

The Maryland Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)

Maryland C.O.P.S. is a statewide non-profit organization providing programs and services for the survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in the state of Maryland. Their mission is to minister to the needs of families who have suffered the loss of a Law Enforcement Officer in the line of duty.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to honor America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the non-profit Foundation has developed and expanded programs that fulfill that mandate. Their mission is to honor and remember America's fallen fire heroes and provide resources to assist survivors in rebuilding their lives.

The Foundation sponsors an annual national tribute to firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. The national tribute is held at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland, each October. The tribute is a weekend that features special programs for survivors and coworkers along with moving public ceremonies.

Wounded Warrior Project

The Wounded Warrior Project mission is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members. The help injured service members to assist each other. They provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. Their core values include fun, integrity, loyalty, innovation and service. Armed with a spirit and culture of teamwork, the WWP staff works to foster the most successful, well adjusted generation of wounded warriors in our nation's history.

The Hogs and Heroes Foundation 2012

The Hogs & Heroes Foundation will be providing security and other critical services at all of the OC BikeFest venues, September 13, 14, 15 & 16, 2012.  Funds raised through their participation, combined with other fundraising activities during the event, will be given to designated charities the Foundation supports. The Hogs and Heroes Foundation remains committed to raising money for the children of Police Officers and Firefighters killed in the line of duty, as well as the families of military members killed in combat operations and wounded warrior organizations. The Foundation also makes donations to United States Military Veterans Charities and other community based charitable organizations.
